SUMITOMO MITSUI TRUST INVESTMENT CO., LTD. (President: Norimasa Yoshida), in collaboration with Aozora Corporate Investment Co., Ltd.ad_group ,has invested in Boost Capital 1st Investment Limited Partnership (hereinafter “Boost 1st”), managed by Boost Capital Co., Ltd., through the Japan Next Generation Investment Limited Partnership (hereinafter, "the Fund").

Boost Capital is a venture capital firm that aims to 'boost' businesses and entrepreneurs. The firm's members have extensive experience in corporate management, venture capital and buyouts. They seek to create and grow businesses through start-up investment and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), with the goal of 'boosting' the entire start-up ecosystem in Japan.

The Fund has decided to invest in Boost 1st, expecting that it will leverage the unique strengths of its members including their experience and networks to identify and support promising start-ups, thereby contributing to business growth.

The Fund primarily invests in relatively young VC funds that target domestic startup companies, with the aim of discovering and supporting high-quality VC funds to contribute to the development of the domestic venture community.
