SUMITOMO MITSUI TRUST INVESTMENT CO., LTD. (President: Norimasa Yoshida, hereinafter "the Company") has invested in THESEED No. 3 Investment Limited Partnership, managed by The Seed Capital Co., Ltd., through the Japan Next Generation Investment Limited Partnership (hereinafter "the Fund") jointly operated with Aozora Corporate Investment Co., Ltd.ad_group.

The Fund is a fund of funds that primarily makes LP investments in relatively young VC funds. Its purpose is to discover and support outstanding venture capitalists and to create an environment that facilitates institutional investors’ access to VC funds, contributing to the development of the domestic startup ecosystem.

The Seed Capital Co., Ltd. operates with the concept of “Supporting Young Entrepreneurs” by identifying talent that will play a future role in Japan, supporting the founding and subsequent development of these ventures. The Fund highly values this approach and its potential, leading to this investment.

The Fund primarily invests in relatively young VC funds targeting domestic startup companies, aiming to contribute to the growth of the domestic venture community by identifying and supporting high-quality VC funds.

As a limited partner of the Fund, the Company will continue to leverage the network of the Fund to foster collaboration with investee companies and support the further growth of The Seed Capital Co., Ltd.
