SUMITOMO MITSUI TRUST INVESTMENT CO., LTD. was established in March 2000 as Sumishin Investment Co., Ltd. Following the merger of Sumitomo Trust and Banking Co., Ltd. and Chuo Mitsui Trust and Banking Co., Ltd. in April 2012, we embarked on a new journey as the asset management company for private assets within the Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group.

With Japan focusing on becoming a “nation of asset management,” our mission is to contribute to a “virtuous cycle of growth and distribution” by facilitating a smooth flow of funds between companies and investors.

Through direct investments in unlisted companies, such as venture and small-to-medium enterprises, as well as fund investments targeting these companies, we fulfill an essential role in supplying necessary funds to businesses with funding needs while offering investment opportunities to institutional investors looking to support these companies.

Since our founding, we have achieved numerous investment successes and have steadily expanded our network of investee companies and investors through collaboration within and outside the Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group.
